Bharat's Brand Image and Tourism

It is very important that Bharat builds its image and build its brand to attract tourism as it is one of the easiest way to connect with the world and bring foreign investment to the country. To do that, I appeal to all the Bhartiya people to try and understand importance of marketing and sales. The least one can do is put more positive things in public forums about the country than the negative things. Consumer psychology is the one of the most important parameter that one needs to study and use in marketing and sales. As a decision to buy in anything is a psychological one. Companies try to connect with the psychology of its buyers and build great brand and reputation which then make it lot easier to sell its products and services. Similarly, a country has to build it's brand, image and reputation of being friendly to tourists to attract more tourism. Tourism could be the easiest foreign investment that a country can get if tourism-friendly environment is created. The tough p…

We Can Take Pride From Real Heroes on Independence Day

Like many of you, I had a question for myself today - why are we getting holiday on 15th August? and what should I be doing? For me, independence or freedom is one of the most valuable things in life, if not the most valuable. Who are guarding for us to stay free? It's Indian army, hence, I decided to remember army and whatever courage and grit I have seen recently. And Whatever little interaction I could have with the army they asked me to share some of the things that I saw. It goes without saying that all that they ask is respect and remembrance for themselves.

If we take even a pinch of pride from Indian army for being Bhartiya, I believe many of the problems will either look small or will disappear.

I have to take the reference of my recent journey to Leh-Ladakh to bring back some of the memories about Indian army. My respect for army has gone up from 1x to 100x after my trip to Leh-Ladakh so I thought of dedicating a blog to the army today by recalling what I expe…

Birth certificate and aadhar card

Namaskar! In this blog, I want to put forward an idea for making life of parents of new born baby easy. Currently, parents struggle to get birth certificate issued after the baby is born without which many things like PAN card,  bank account etc. cannot be initiated. Bhartiya government needs to make it mandatory for all hospitals/local bodies to get aadhar card and birth certificate issued before they can discharge the patient and a new born baby. I feel it is of utmost important for country's security and individual's identity as well as to know almost real-time data of birth rate using which further policies related to family planning can be created.
Our hospitals do not have any facilities to get birth certificate issued online which I think is feasible.
In Mahrashtra, the process is still manual and time consuming. It seems every state has its owb process. Maharashtra's online process is not easy and given toll free numbers on MahaGov website do not work. Paper form …

Problem: Government Fails To Deliver. Solution: Reservation In Bureaucracy To Be Removed.

In Bharat, leadership of all kinds of governments announce huge schemes, some of them real good. Unfortunately, most of the schemes fail miserably to reach to the people who require them the most, one can still see healthcare, education or most of the other public services in a shoddy state.

Certainly, people who build these systems or processes are not the political leaders, they are bureaucrats. That is the reason I feel the way bureaucracy is recruited or appointed needs to be changed. I am surprised that political leaders so far have not realized that most of their electoral promises either get fulfilled or not get fulfilled depending on how efficient or inefficient bureaucrats work. And if they have realized, they have not changed the way bureaucrats are recruited.

Currently, most of the organizations or departments in the government have reservations based on the caste. Then there are reservations for relatives of people who died on-duty.

I really hope one day there will be no…

Problem: Bharat's Outdoor Statues. Solution: Don't Make Statues, Make Quality Infrastructure.

Some of the people in Bharat now considers China as a competition in regards to its development and economic growth. I am one of them. I have visited China multiple times and every time I go there I feel Bharat has lot more to catch up in terms of technology, work culture and culture of new age.

One of the news I read grabbed my attention is that Chinese government has ordered crackdown on large outdoor religious statues. I have read lot of times in Bharat has seen riots or highly tense situation in a locality or in a city. Bharat should really consider crackdown or stop building religious statues in outdoor areas, they should be built only inside the museum or private property. There have been incidents of riots just because someone mischievous or intentionally maligned the statue of one religion. Statues also eat up lot of money wherein Bharat needs money for getting people out of poverty. Yet again, wrong priorities set most of the times in the government's budgets to please a …

Support One-Child Policy & Change in Religious Celebrations

#1 - Bharat needs to adopt one-child policy

The recent report from UN has shown that Bharat will be the most populous nation on the earth very soon. It is urgent need that policy-makers do pay attention to this problem. Huge population will be putting burden on the system which is already short of resources such as food, water, house and clean air.

#2 - Bharat needs to control religious celebrations that harm nature

Policy-makers should appeal to all religions including Hindus, Muslims etc. for stopping their celebrations that damage natural resources. Muslims kill animals in masses on Eid where as Hindus burst crackers in Diwali and there are such celebrations in other religions too. Religious leaders need to be appealed and should help taking people from their respective communities in confidence to stop or minimize the effect of celebration over the nature. Ultimately, earth has limited resources for humankind and it is a high time that we all understand that and start making changes …

Bharat's Taxation System and Delivery of Promises

Bharat has seen number of leaders and politicians promising moons and stars to the public and once the election is over, the delivery of those promises are rarely seen. There is a huge importance put in for bhoomi-poojan, a traditional way of announcing the infrastructure work but less importance is given to the completion of work or the way it is completed. At times, bureaucracy goofs up and some times leaders. Public observe the system fail in providing basic necessities and social safety net which make them pessimistic about the politics and lot of people who are willing to be a part of the taxation system try and avoid paying taxes seeing that tax-payers money is either wasted or siphoned away by the corrupt elements.

Goods and Service Tax (GST) has brought some change to the taxation system and hopefully, we will have more people participating in tax system but again unless, we see delivery of better quality of services delivery in public domain, people will try and see…
